What’s something that happened this month in crypto that has caught your attention?
The number of NFT projects minting out and then sustaining a higher floor price.
What’s your best advice to founders for persevering during a difficult fundraising climate?
Focus on the things you can control.
Share a commonly given piece of advice that you completely disagree with.
Grow at all costs. You became a founder as you. So just remember the choices you make represent your values.
How do you make your first hires?
Ideally you hire people you have worked well with before or people you respect and want to work with.
What’s an underrated skill every founder should develop?
Humility. You have to be able to listen and absorb what is happening all around you, especially the criticism - it's all learning.
What banking and back office partners and tooling do you like the most?
We have a controller who specializes in crypto. We are very fortunate.
Which partnerships have actually moved the needle for your startup, and how did you land them?
Axie Infinity and NBA Top Shot. One came from mutual friends, and the other from a previous business idea. Crypto is a small world, keep up relationships with people you meet.
